I love making logos!
When I worked as a web designer in 2001 creating logos was the best bit of my job. The majority of the day was taken up with webpage coding, but I was given quite a lot of creative freedom when it came to creating a brand identity for a product if one didn’t exist already.
Last month I found a logo forum called LogoBogo whose aim is to make free logos and banners for anyone that requests one. You see requests from US radio stations, podcasters and DJs – all after a freebie!
It suits me, as the lack of fee (although donations are encouraged) takes the pressure off the design process. I’ve made a few logos and banners since joining. Some were successful, some less so. I’ve had donations of around £20.00 so far, but that’s just a bonus really.
